20di fwd 51reg alternator aux belt removal/fit?

hello,how do you change the alternator auxilliary drive belt on these as i cannot see the usual tensioner on the alternator? is there a set routine/any problems encountered? thanx

yep you have to cut it off..its a stretch belt..new belt comes with a tool to refit new belt on..

ok,ill try that then ,it was just somebody said take the bottom pulley off(3bolts).........didnt sound right............thanx

beleive if you can get most of belt on the right pulleys first can remember which ones then turn engine over belt will find its way on if you see what i mean,as you will struggle with the tool they provide you,have a look thru martyns threads (vantuner) as he had prob fitting his belt ,and was given the answer of the easy way to fit it

It's only 2 pulleys, unless it has aircon and is a piece of piss to fit.
