rev counter

when its wet i have notice recently that the rev counter seems to stick or on the odd ocasion starts to rise?

does anyone know how to fix this issue?

im thinking it might be a case of applying oil/lubricant to a part ?

rev counter works from the alternator so likely the belt is slipping when its wet..
