Bought a Mk 1 pick up back from Italy in June.

My idea is to use the rot free cab only to relpace my Mk5 over there <-- which is going rotten
What I need to do to achive this is-
lengthen the chassis. I have an 07 plate 4meter Mk 7 Chassis to help with this.
Fit the cab with IFS. This will also convert it to right hand drive & a PAS rack.
Then make it ready to fit my Mk5's Turbo Di & MT75, rear axle, fuel tank & luton.
Tody I took the york engine & Knacked gearbox out and took the dropside back off.

this is gonna be good make sure you cut the floor piece round the stick out of the donor - it'll fit spot on in the mk1 and give you room for the MT75

the chassis extention sounds VERY interesting and IFS gonna be spot on when its done

I should be starting on this again soon. Have only had chance to do some measuring of my Mk5 to sort out mounting points for ifs and the Mk7 chassis height and the like






The mk5 has to be MOTed in January & it is going pretty rusty but hopefully it only has to do one more year
