Yeah have got a mk4 fiesta clock going in the gap under the stereo, can't be doing without a clock!
Decided on the fiesta clock as i plan on everything being lit in red and the fiesta clock looked better in red

Are you putting a Red LED light in the clock? mk4 Fiesta clocks usually light up Green

yeah will be putting red LEDs in it (there's 2 in a fiesta clock) and they're bloody small and fiddly!

here's a quick pic of the fiesta clock in its current position of the empty cup holder hole while I carry on modifying the stereo fascia to take a 2 din dvd plyer properly

Image

and this is how big the LEDs are that are in the clock, have taken a pic of it on a 1p coin to give an idea of size

Image

Going to have a look to see if I can use the PATs light in the clock instead of the normal one in the van and then maybe fit another cigarette lighter in the hole for the original PATs light for an extra power point

Is there any chance of a daytime pic of plan B of the dash lighting? pretty please :D

Looking really cool 8)
On starting up, it sounded exactly like a skeleton having a w@^k in a biscuit tin.

As you can see it's not stuck particularly well but that's because I had stuck it behind the dials to start with and then pulled it off again a few days later to put in front of the dials, just needs some decent double sided tape putting on it

It only cost a couple of quid for the LED strip

A bit more fiddling and faffing today as I had a couple of hours spare
Step lighting comes on when you open either front doors
Image

Illuminated door handles took the picture during the day so doesn't look too bright also didn't want it too distracting at night
Image

Also replaced the interior light with a red LED bulb, had to reverse the wiring to get it to work though.

Small update time

Had some really bad rust on the rear crossmember and when prodded it turned into some sizeable holes  luckily minormatt came to my rescue and welded it all up for me, so big thanks to Matt.
My oil filter seal also gave up and had a huge oil leak, new filter and oil and all is well again.

Latest mod is some rear speakers, I did have some fli speakers in the garage that I was going to use but one of them got squashed some how  so went and bought some 17cm ripspeed ones from halfords for just £22. Made up a couple of boxes from MDF, the sides, top and bottom are 18mm and the front is 9mm as that's what I already had in the garage. I didn't want to leave them plain but couldn't be arsed to paint them so I covered them in some black vinyl material that I also had in the garage.
Took just a couple of hours altogether and this is what I finished with

Image

My stereo sounds much better now although I may upgrade my door speakers again. Doors have got speakers from maplins at the moment.

Also fitted a new steering wheel as the original looked like the previous owner had beenchewing on it! Got one of the chunkier steering wheels from a lwb.
Have changed the LEDs in the switches to brighter ones and also fitted a proper transit fog light switch.
I now have 1 set of driving lights and 2 sets of fog lights fitted
Image

Have also changed the front clear indicators for some decent clear ones (I thought one looked a bit wonky so pushed on it and broke the fitting tabs) and chrome bulbs.
Reversing camera also fitted and working now.
Split charge system also fitted and working, powering my 1000w inverter with no problems.

The problem of the alarm going off whenever it was unlocked by the drivers door is now sorted. It was just down to a very worn key. Big thanks to bancroftlocksmiths for cutting me a new key and swapping the chip over and for cutting me a spare key as well.

MOT time on Saturday :?

Had another slight modification today...

some asswipe reversed into my front wing and put a dent in it and now it's a bit wobbly    on the plus side they've done some damage to their own car as there was a load of bits of light lense all over the floor

Finally managed to fit my modified dash this week
Image

That's it really only other thing I did was move the beacon light up to where the rear foglight switch is and move the interior light switch down next to the ciggie lighter
