mk2 thermostat

hi all, just fitted new thermostat in my mk2 and its still overheating. took it out and tested it in a pan of boiling water and it opened about half way. is this right as i always thought it should open fully when boiled

make sure your heater matrix doesnt also have a blockage in it causing you trouble.

as for the thermostat, some open further than others but i didnt test the one i had as i was getting rid of it
