Postby VJ 6 Aus » Sat Jul 22, 2006 2:14 am

Does anybody know if it is possible to program focus/ or any other ford for that matter key remotes to transit mk6 probably a silly question but I just like the idea of having the key and remote in one unit

Me and madmark were talking about this and came to the conclusion that it wasn't possible.

the all in one remotes will work as they have a blue chip "rolling code" system,

BUT

It's been proven to cause the starters to burn out through extended engagement because some of the keys make contact with the trim covers around the ignition switch and keep it in POS III

They will program in the same manner as the normal fob.

The fouling issue didn't seem to affect every vehicle , so I would strongly suggest having a good look at the key when inserted in the ignition barrel.

You need to make sure that it's not touching on the metal of the barrel or the trim, so the key can spring back as you come away from the crank position.

NEW transit does have the all in one key.......but it's not the same as the old one and it's bright BLUE!!! to signify that it's one of the new fangled automatic charge type.

Did you try asking Luke for your sign in details? Just reply by email to the thread notifications. Oh, and if you rethink the water wing option thing, I am sure you would be welcome at a run in the UK

If you only have 1 key then you will either need to take it to a Ford dealer or a locksmith that can program them for you.
