Transit meetup in the midlands

Postby gravelrash2004 » Fri Aug 27, 2010 1:35 pm

Anyone on here fancy starting a regular meet during the week, so we can babble rubbish, have the craic and generally indulge in all things silly or van related?

Just testing the water and see what the response is - if its a goer will look at a venue etc. suggestions comments etc appreciated.

looks for a venue now and just post up say 3 or 4 weeks beforehand turn up you might only get a few to start with..I got 2 on my first meet then it grew by a extra van at the next hope it growns bigger by well 5 vans this time..
If you decide to meet at a private place then make sure you get written permission beforehand which most places wont mind.and take a bin bag as its easier to just collect a bit of rubbish if at a private place after even if its not your rubbish it looks good.. I colected 2 bin bags at last meet and none was our mess but it does look good for a meet in the future..Our last meets were in barclays bank car park and i talked to the manager of the branch and he had no problems of our meets as long as the bank was closed and we wasnt in the way of the cash point he was ok.plus if we did cause a problem he had it on cctv..
just go for it...

Looks like 8th September at Mad O Rourkes in Tipton is a gooer.

Directions are here for anyone who doesnt know where it is http://www.madorourkes.com/hurstlane.html ALL WELCOME

If anyone finds a better destination, lets throw it around the table on the night and see if its good for another meet
