mondeo clocks in mk3....

ok got me clocks thanks to guy88


will fit em next week has anyone had any probs fitting as per the thread in technical how too's?


im also thinking more along the lines of trying to tidy up the install a little more so it looks more factory so to speak


any ideas? im presuming i may get the black dash surround bit around the clocks froma mk5 and try some cutting/filling etc to mate it to the mk3 one

did you have any incorrect guage readings?

also on the how to section it says theres 3 wires left in the original plug do you just blank them off ?


on the mondeo cluster i have it has the large plug the smaller plug, theres also a smaller plug socket more of a square not even an inch in diameter, do i need to not worry bout that?

The speedo on mine is about 5MPH out and the fuel guage is out. also i need to get a mondeo temp sender as the transit and mondeo ones have different resistance

I havent got the plug so just ignore it. you can either blank off the wires or leave them. there all inputs so no voltage. i also wired up the low brake fluid sensor onto the ABS warning and fitted a handbrake warning on the other light the little plug i believe is where the airbag controller plugs in. If you want to have some fun fit a switch to turn the sports mode light on and say its for the nos

I wouldn't mind one of those
Is it hiding in my MK5 clocks somewhere

On the mondeo ones its one of the ones in the bottom row. think its on the right and its green. when me new clocks arrive il know for sure.

Iv seen these clocks fitted to mk5's and the sports light is always on. most people take the bulb out

What i can tell you is that if you put 12v to the small plug pin 9 on a set of mondeo clocks it puts the sports light on

Wat about the ABS, Active suspention, Auto and all the other random lighhts you could have in a mondeo

Next to charge light is speed limiter light


Bottom L/H Airbag, Wheel slip, low oil level, ECU error

Bottom R/H Active Suspention, Sports mode, O/D on.

Above oil pressure light is the ABS warning

Well I've got an ABS light and my airbag light is being used as one of my alarm lights

Your 'speed limiter' must be cruise control

But I could do with the 'sports' and 'O/D' light
