i am having a problem at the moment determining what model my van is for insurance purposes

does anyone here know how to determine this?

all i got to go on is the VT20 MOT cert and the V5 vehicle doc info which is

make: ford
model/type: 2 axle rigid body van
date of reg: 01/05/2002
VIN:wfovxxgbfvyy53085
engine no,:y53085

WF0VXXGBFVYY53085 is the VIN on the V5 Doc and the MOT Doc for sure! looks like i am going to need to look a bit deeper

i see your data says country registered IE

could it be that this has been imported to the uk mainland and then registered with the dvla 01/05/2002 hence its got a sv02 plate?

If its from Ireland and not Northern Island it would be classed as an import by the DVLA and will say something to that effect on the logbook.

If it came from Northern Ireland it would probably still be on the three letter four number plates, as Imports from N.Ireland are not classified as such...

think the major problem with all this was the last owner had it insured as a 350 swb so when i tried to select 300series lwb on the insurance web sites it wouldnt allow it!

So the last owner was paying a bigger insurance premium than he should have been then.
