Where are you based? I know of a couple of resellers of BT vans but they are more than your budget, all less than 50k milage I have seen some as little as 29,800.

A bit too far away. I was talking to High Cube about this very subject and to be honest I think the so called auctions of these vans is a little bit of a con as if they all went through an open auction then the dealers would never get them as the price a private buyer would pay is way over that of a dealer so I reckon for tax purposes BT sells them direct to the auction house at a set price, who again sell them at a fixed price to the dealers, afterall these dealers only sell these vans, given the milage differences the prices are all very similar, biggest difference I have seen for the same registration is £500...all for a 15k milage difference.

Good luck trying to buy One van even if you got registered...this was what I meant about a slight con. BT's tax liability if they sold through auction would get frightening as a Biz user you write off the value for approx 5 years so that effectively the vehicle is now worthless, but as we all know they aren't BUT if BT was to sell at say £4k per van they have to pay the tax on that figure so wiping off the last 2 years of tax breaks, I reckon they sell them ALL for less than £1000 as that will give a simple low taxable income amount to declare. By the time we get our hands on them suddenly they are back up at the £5k area once you include the vat. Cheaper ones are about but not by a lot (Ex BT on the forecourt)

Don't get disheartened you might get lucky but then you might find that to comply with some obscure law BT have to advertise the vehicles, but they don't have to sell to those who are registered more to the people that express an interest in several vans in one hit. So who would want to sell to, 1 person taking 10+ vans or 1 person taking a single van?
