Just to hijack your thread as whoever has the answers for you may have an answer for me too ;)

Connect rear lights are they possible to swap over with a MK5, they 'look' the same size and I like the half clear look they have and the totally clear rear clusters on Ebay just don't look right to me.

I remember that from when I first joined here, not what I am looking for. So will the Connect rearlight fit a MK5? They can be picked up cheap enough on ebay, infact I get annoyed when the title says Transit Rear Lamp Assembly and when you click on it is a Connect, which other than the added name isn't a real Transit. But if they will fit I will stop getting annoyed...though I am sure the other ads will still say Transit on the front (no gallery pic) and still turn out to be a Connect.
Ally step/sill covers is a good example, would look nice on a Transit but they aren't made for the real van.

Looking at it I would say no it wont fit straight in, they seem to taper getting wider at the bottom. Although anything can of course be made to fit.

That's kind of what I thought I would go and put a Transit one next to a Connect but how that would look in a car park might cause a few phone calls, perhaps a visit to a main dealer is in order, as the internal fitting might also be an issue. To date I have only looked as I have been driving along and to look closely and drive safely isn't easy ;)

Having looked closely while driving behind one I'd say MrMPuk is spot on (as usual  )
And if they did fit, they would be my first choice rather than those opaque ones that fade to yellow that everyone calls clear :!: :?:
