Light Globes in Plastic headlights

Anybody know the story here can you fit 90/130 globes in these or will they melt??

I know of some that have done this and;

Melted their connector and the ones that didn't, suffered from a discoloured plastic lens

v6 i put them in mine and the first time i drove at night about an 1 hour into the trip the glodes exploded and it was a nightmare trying to clean all the melted glass from inside the lens to much heat generated from the type of material in the lens.what i use now and there a fair bit better than the originals is 60/50 in high power globe made for polocarbonate lenses i will get the brand and let you know

Also the higher power globes or lamps as we call them can melt the platic lenses.

What about fitting a H.I.D kit?

I have a kit in my car, the glass doesn't get hot, and they are so much brighter.

The kit I have have Hi and Low beams, came from Oz as well No way I''ll go back to standard bulbs now!

I run HID lights in the Rally car they are awesome but I'm not sure about the moving bulb for High and low beam although I have got around to checking do the Mk6 have a single or double bulb setup??
and they are getting cheap now saw some on fleabay oz for about $300
after buying some gear from the UK I think that must be about 10 quid in your money

The kits are around the £200 mark, plus if you have a lamp go you can't just pop into Halfords or a garage for a new one!

v6 the globes i mentioned are narva plus 50 much brighter than originals and fine in polycarbonate lenses
