ESP light

Postby mrspodrod » Sun Jan 02, 2011 8:05 pm

Hi there I recently bought an 07 jumbo 115/350 happy out with it nice van. My problem is I drive about 8miles from cold and the ESP light comes on. When I stop and restart it goes off again drive 7/8 ish miles it comes on again. The ESP worked very well in the recent snow coming on when wheels were spinning wouldnt let you over rev, but the roads are back to normal now but full of pot holes anyone any ideas?? :? :? :?

Hi this happens to me now and again its probably one of the sensors on the wheels have a look and clean the area if its like mine it only happens every now and then and wont throw up any codes, as for code readers there are a few f super readers on the bay for around £30 - £50 these are the ones to get.

This is one on the bay i got mine cheaper but no customer servicehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Super-F-Scan ... 3363ce8bd2

they can be a pain to get working via your laptop if you dont have a laptop tryhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/U480-CAN-BUS-OBDI ... 4155a9db2f

I had this before i got my transit it works on most cars and will give you the codes and let you re set the codes, works well on the transit just not as indepth or usefull as the f super it all depends on how good with working on cars / vans you are as to how much info you will need.

i am keeping both as i leave the small one in the van and will use the f super when i need more info.

Hope this all helps.
