are there any other modules hidden behind the dash? Also what are the 2 fuese for behind the cluster and the module next to the clutch? The airbag system is working too as the light goes out as it should..

just looking at the 2 wiring diagrams on autodater the fuel pump controll is totaly different from the mondeo to the transit you will have to use the mondeo ecu, harness, fuel pump, pump controll unit then code key to pats

im using the mondeo ecu, pump and key. The harness is a maze. If i had the diagram, i recon i could wire it all up. It starts perfectly and even revs up. Just dies after 5 secs.

Any ideas

If push comes to shove, can i disable the imobiliser maybe and use a switch wire to a soleniod like you used too~? How does the ecu cut the fuel? Failing that can i go manual? What vehicle?

This has gotta be back on the road tomorrow one way or another.......

Was the diagram you looked at for a 51 mondeo 115ps mate the turbo is not the variable type. I belive there are a few diagrams.

I you could have a look at which pin on the mondeo pcm the battery warning light goes too that would be great. Also need to have a look at the lift pump diagram f pos. The relay is grounded from pin 98 of the pcm but i need to trace the diagram futher back to see what input the pcm requires to tell it to energise as it doesnt ground at the moment. I recon the PCM is looking for a ign + or summit.

Mucho appreciated.. This cannot beat us now. :o :o

looking through some diagrams, where and what is the instrument module? According to the diagrams the diagnostic port is plugged into it? I also have a vaux bluefin and a registered vag com dtc reader that wont work. Does that seem right?

the instrument module is basically the cluster.

just found this it points out (near the bottom) that after engine is started an engine stall can not possibly be PATS related.

i think with a wiring diagram for your transit and the mondeo you have, it would be dead easy, you could sort the altenator and the lift pump, and a little bit of wiring for the clocks to work correctly.

i agree 100% matey but unfortunately i have ran out of time. I have had to swap it back over to the vp 30. Will have it back up tomorrow i recon. IM gutteredm i hate being beaten. Its defenitely not a PATS issue. Im 95% certain its ecu/ wiring related. I recon its summit to do with the lift pump relays for sure. On the monfeo, there are 2 pins on the ecu, both green/yellow +ve which then join futher down the line and then split and goto the switch side of two relays "one was the lift pump" The other fed the 2 pin connecter(like the horn connector) that went to summit by the mondeo fan/horn. (may have been the horn?) Its on the same small loom, Now i added these two pins to my harness (was sunnit already allocated to the pins so i spliced into them) and added the relay and wiring for the lift pump exactly how it was in the mondeo. The pump still didnt work. One of the greens also self switch to be either + or neg which was weird.

The thing is when i joined the two greens together, the van wont start at all. Also today, i started her, and reved at about 2.5k and she didnt die, would rev up but was lacking if you get my drift,"was trying to cut". Let the rvs drop and it died. I couldnt get it to do it again.

The other realay fed by the other green/yellow was also fed from the alarm module in the drivers footwell..... as said, may be the horn.

If i get the wiring details at a later date then i may well try again.

On another note. If i get hold of a transit 115 or 125ps pcm, will the mondeo vp44 be able to be coded to it?

Cheers Pal.

Well shes' running but not hpw i wanted her too. Had to put the VP30 back on and the old PCM, bit guttered really.. To top it off too, i recieved an email back lastnight to say check acouple of the pump pins for 12v and if not present then put temp feeds in., obviously i couldnt as i had already removed the pump...  Reason i ask is because this pipe was split and i have replace it with fuel hose which is now returning fuel?

Also am i right in thinking that the transit annd mondeo vp44 are the same? Should i be able to buy a transit 1oops PCM now and once coded should work with the vp30?

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP ON THE SUBJECT SO FAR..... :D
