lookin forward to the pics,itchin to crack on with mine but not doin it outside at this time brrrrr. :lol: didnt weld my shocks onto crossmember either and wish i had :wink:

How did you get on with yours?
Any advice.

24v - do you do paint for a living? Looks bloody well! 8) when you did your engine detailing, did you have any problems when you took for the plenum with the gasket/seal or the tensioner covers, or'd you spray them in situ? Also you know silicone type blue hoses on Fleabay are quite cheap now. :D

I got a friend of mine who does airbrushing on trucks and bikes to do it for me.He took off the inlet and covers and sprayed them seperatly.I was concerned about the heat of the oven on the gaskets on the rocker covers but no leaks so far...

I will put up a pic when I can of the "ford cosworth" logo on the back of the van which he airbrushed on but looks factory.

I was only thinking last night that blue hoses would look well.
Must look them up.Thanks

the van looks great keiran, im really looking forward to seeing the ifs conversion pics, im properly keen to have a go at tis on one of my vans soon. getting the shock tops sweet seems to be the trickiest part of the job as far as i can see.

what an exelent mk2 love the paint .i was tioying with some 17s for my mk2 but eventually chose the old school big 15s .your van just sits right credit to you m8 all the best enjoy it
if its got tits or wheels its always gonna end in trouble !!!
anyone can restore a van but it takes a real man to chop it up !!!

Quickly spotted.I had to because of the size of the wheels.No progress today as I went ploughing(non transit section) :D

how did you fix the back half of the crossmember :?: got any other pics :wink: what top mounts did you use on the struts :?:

I used two inch box section with a captive nut welded inside.The box section is welded to the chassis.The subframe is boted to it.
I used thed mk 4 transit strut tops and copied lukes design with the folded plate.I used 5mm steel. I will get some more pics up as soon as I can. :D
