if its fuel pump getting it reconned costs 300quid,when mine whent it wouldnt start bit i never had warning lights,also another thing i was told is the in/out fuel lines in to the fuel filter can take in air,either cured by silcon or cutting the ends off and pushing them back on with jubelee clips,or wait for night hawk cus hes the man....

try taking the fuel pipes off the filter (feed & return) & putting them into a gallon can of diesel (make sure they into the fuel) then see if it'll run to eliminate pipes back to tank & fuel filter
