I do ally on the MIG

so do i, you cant beat a nice tig weld tough

what amps do you use i tried welding my bellhousing and my welder just wouldnt go high enough 140amps

Luke, i have two migs, i use the small welder because i only get the small reels of wire, thats a 130amp fan cooled but its mostly on aluminium sheet, what gas do you use

i think the gas was argon - would have to check to be 100% sure

dont no exactly but the amps are fairly low. aly wire and alushield (argon & Helium)

I threw myself in at the deep end learning to MIG weld some years ago ,i had a hot rod project and a good mate who let me use his garage and his equipment ,after a few hours of practice I was ready to start on the car ,started welding a few rust holes i had cut out in the lower panels 2 weeks later i re-did the roof chop!. Anyone who remembers a choped standard ten called Orange Crush from the late 70's that was my project ,sold it on unfinished and lost touch with it.

Yes i beleave it was pictured in street machine was powerd buy a worked over essex 3.1 V6 ,chop was extrem to say the least.I was told it run a low 10 at avon park .
