They're called CBE sockets, you can get them off of Ebay, or from caravan/motorhome shops/internet. Can be a bit expensive for what they are, but they just seemed to be the easiest things to look right.

They're modular, so you buy the socket/fuse board, then the support they fit into (one, two or 3 way), then the coloured surround. There's wood effect surrounds etc. The ones I have are 'graphite'

They also do things like chargers/240v hookup, satellite sockets, and step switches etc, all in the same form factor so they all match. I can't afford the £300 for the charger though

The Spring made me want to do things, so I stripped back to bare and started again.

Also, the fact I had to get new springs made me want to do things too.

Stripping out the dodgy wiring.

The recycled bottle insulation.

The foil bubblewrap over the bottle insulation.

Bit messy with the bubblewrap, but it's sealed nicely.

A new bed in a new place, now I'll be able to stretch out. (225 CM long)

A new shelf above the bed for bedding :) with white LED lighting strip along the edge.

Bed almost done.

I picked up the final bits of the bed, a new cupboard for the electrical gear, and a mattress tonight. I'm working towards a March 11th deadline, so next week will be all the electrics and tidying up, like putting the little white caps over all the screwheads and stuff.

Yeah, I hate looking behind panels to find twisted together wires of different thicknesses and no fuses

The silver screens were from Ebay a couple of years ago, a seller called salesfromsarah . They only seem to have the Remis blinds for the MK6&Mk7 transits on their page now, but they might have some like mine for the MK5's lying around. They're shaped to fit the windows and make a big difference. I'm sure other shops sell them, as the ones I got were in a branded bag. eBay listings

i love the inside i hope mine goes as good when ive finished just started boarding out the back ready for the carpet and the engine/lights stopped me finishing it due to all the spare cash going on getting it running again, one question how did you wire up the back so you could have a tv in it ? as im using a 25ft extension lead barrell at the mo.
Loved it when my van was the only form of transport that could make it to the end of the road without a tow in the snow. some people call it a banger i call it the black battered ex band van than ROARS.

Cheers, I'm not that good with wood and measuring, and I try my best. I know how you feel money wise, I started work on my van and suddenly it needs new springs and now tyres. Hopefully next month will just be me enjoying it.

The TV is one from Asda, made by Onn, it's a combined 19" digital TV/computer monitor with DVD player. It comes with a mains adapter, but actually runs off of 12volts. It's wired into the leisure battery using a 12 volt regulator.

I looked at the back of all the tele's in asda to check for one that ran off 12volt, there's usually a couple of makes that do the 12volt ones, but usually nothing bigger than 19". They do pull a lot of power, and I don't use it a lot when I'm not on hookup, but I can get a couple of nights of TV viewing before charging the battery if I don't have mains power.

The only thing I need the mains inverter for now is my electric shaver :) everything else is converted to 12volt. When I'm on mains hookup the battery charger supplies enough power to charge the batteries and run all my kit.
