At least the bore is bigger than the stroke, there's not much oversquare diesels out there :lol:

QH belt! :x Plus I don't know how much miles were on that belt, I changed it with the later (92) spec timing pulleys as they have heavier teeth.

Thanks mate, it's pretty easy really, and I made this setup with very little money because I bought the turbocharger 2 years ago for another project :)

m8 you GOTTA bring her over here for one or two of the drag meets. that sound she made at top end was N I C E!!!

ps any more info on the governor and spring removal. im not gonna do that to mine as will eventually be a work van but all the same be nice to learn how to tune up diesels without a pc!!!

I'm gonna post some pics of the governor mod tonight maybe plus a new video soon without anything going wrong lol and some PROPER revs :D

Feez mate have you thought bout lightened n balanced flywheel. is mk 5 solid single mass? used to get em spun on a big lathe n balanced - less a few pounds. makes worthwhile free energy mod as revs up faster... 8)

I belive (although I am sometimes wrong) lightening diesel engines is a bad thing - they need the heavy rotating mass to maintain good torque as more weight has more momentum once moving. Balancing might br worth it to help it run smoother but i really wouldn't go mad making it lighter.
