Transit content? I'm not sure about that, since the series finished in 1960. However, Transits were no doubt used in the furtherance of their subsequent solo careers (grip trucks, catering vans, etc.)

I haven't seen the pylon advert. I don't watch TV because I'm usually too busy:

a) working
b) driving the Ordinary Van (that ain't workin')
c) writing the Diary
d) jogging
......
z) sleeping.

Now that I have been made aware of pylons, and their beauty I have noticed that there are some in Highland Perthshire that only have cables on one side, with the other side bare, the gantry arms are there, just no cables on them, Are they reserved for future expansion

Pylon construction is always controversial, so it would make sense to allow for a future doubling of capacity once the necessary permissions and wayleaves have been obtained. There are many single-circuit 132kV towers still in place based on the classic PL1b, but most new build seems to be of double-circuit types, i.e. two 3-phase circuits and hence six conductors.

Some original pictures would be good, but to preserve any semblance of Transit Forum relevance, submitted pictures should show your own Transit parked at the foot of the pylon, or in the foreground with pylons in the background, or vice versa. I'm currently looking for a suitable photo opportunity myself. No Photoshop jobs please, unless totally hilarious. You never know, you might qualify for Pylon of the Month.
