Wouldn't worry about the colour as the white is totally different.

do you mean the end of the chassis legs? I welded the plates all the way around. but made brackets and welded them inside the chassis legs first.

you buy the plates from fords, if you bolt all the panels on first to align everything up before weld, the headlight surround panels bolt to the plates. I also i had a mk7 transit to measure off next door, thats the best way to do it.

Yes mate its quite straight fwd, specially with the inner wings and rails. Best bet is to have a mk7 to get measurements off and use genuine panels.

stephenferguson wrote:i took 15mm of the outside, cant remember the inside measurement but there straight, i measured off another mk7 off holes in the sides of the leg, then the lips that i cut off i welded back on the sides. i bought the proper support that slides inside the leg for the tow eye on the passenger side.

I bought the plates that sandwich between the leg and the cross beam, i welded those top and bottom, then bolted the crossbeam through the sides of the plate and the lips that i welded back on, just copied the original mk 7 as much as i could.

i have a part to fit under the bonnet tomorrow which tunnels the air through into the cab and then i'm gonna take the finished pic and add it to the album.

Regarding this part, I have not sourced as of yet. Does it Conner to existing.

Hi,

There is a black plastic tunnel that bolts to the scuttle panel, it has a rubber seal attached to it which seals with the bonnet when shut, and the back of it clips into another plastic panel which attaches to the bulkhead, you need both these parts for the air intake to work correctly. not sure of part numbers tho.
