Fuel Injectors

Postby slick » Mon Oct 09, 2006 11:43 am

Hi Guys,
i have a problem with my Mk 6 2002 125 T350 cab chassis. the problem is with the lack of power. I have had the vehicle since 70,000 Km and it now has 110,000 km and since it reached 100,000km it's been falling apart, the clutch, flywheel, gearbox and know it's down on power since 100,000 km the power has been getting less and less. i have check all the pipes and fittings all ok? I just put it into fords agine for a check and they have no fault codes showing or in the History file. At the 105,000 service i noticed a moist spot around the No 1 Injector so i cleaned it off. the diesel seems to be coming up the injector from the seal area but only a slight leak and area just looks damp. Now it is at all 4 injectors and all seem to be leeking from the seals you carnt see them leaking but they get damp. By the way i told the ford dealer about the injector seals they surgested i wait till it breaks down so they can isolate the fault!! The dealer said the injectors are fine and showing no fault codes. Help Needed

Is this a 125Ps tddi or TDci engine?

If the Southern hemisphere gets the same kit as us, it should be a Tddi engine.

That means the injectors don't have the ability to provide a fault code.

What the dealer can do though is check their performance on the diagnostic machine by checking if the fueling bar graphs are moving with the engine at idle.

It's hard to give further info.

Fuel Injectors

the fuel and air filter was changed at 75,000 km service i have checked these and they seem to be ok they also have the service button on top. you know that geen and red button.
What i am unsure about is the damp area around the injectior dust seal could the injectors be faulty and if so why didn't it show up with a fault code.
i have done all the basic stuff check all the hose and fitting wire connections. at first i thought it might be injector pipes that was leeking but after cleaning them up the fuel is definatly coming up from the seal area and riseing. Fuel consumption is also up.
