We have had this same question asked a few times on here now and I'm sure that most of the other members will agree that we came to the conclusion that it can't be done, you're better off just fitting the turbo engine!

ive already done it on a 1997 Transit transporter i built with 17foot body  i had standard di engine, bolted on turbo di turbo and inlet manifold, 76 ps "banana"style fuel pump that i turned the fuel up on, the one thing you must do is use turbo injectors, once i did this the truck went to work and is still used daily and it FLYS it wipes the floor with those nasty lucas epic fuel pumps, and its faster :D so i built that nearly three years ago and still going strong so the answer is yes it can and has been done

Hi Geoff thanks for the info, where did you get the oil feed from? i have a
lucas pump and the engine is a 1990, what do you mean by a banana"style fuel pump that i turned the fuel up on, i was hoping to put a
petrol injector on the inlet manafold and a e pump and a fuel tank for this
and run a small spool valve to regalate the derv fuel
