I dont want to do a conversion, I wan't to put a set of steel chromes abit like the Smoothies on http://www.americanracing.com but can't find anything with the right stud pattern . Those wheels you got are awesome did you get them off the net?

As you well know there is very little aftermarket wheels for the Transit I dont want to do a conversion, I wan't to put a set of steel chromes abit like the Smoothies on http://www.americanracing.com but can't find anything with the right stud pattern . Im amazed that none of you guys have have made your own mag wheels!
A few of my mates have done it, they just buy the chrome outer rim design a center on paper for a template and get it laser cut from steel plate then weld the into the rim
it works out quite cheap

Have to say it sounds a bit scary to me! Surly you have to know what you are doing to weld something as important as wheels?

. I think what Sundowner means is you design the centres and an engineering company to weld them 
. Dunno if you watch Overhaulin or American hotrod on saterlite but they show you how its done

Can be done from $120 per wheel but thats in australia
If you look for shops that do wheel repairs they should be able to get the outer rims
