They also said that as 'an advisory they found a rear oil seal leaking on the engine......to fix would be £480.00'

They said it was 4 hrs work to strip and rebuild the engine to get to it.

Full service, MOT, New Tensioner/guides and chain.
New front and rear pads.

Total Price £1185.47

But on the brighter....................................the drive home was VERY quick!!!

Andy

I did ask them if they plugged it into the computer to see if it needed updating, their response "You didn't ask us to do that sir, It takes an hour and is £79 + vat."
Silly me, I thought they do it to check the brain/computer of the van.

They even charged me £8.50 to phone up a garage to book it into their MOT station, Fords ramps weren't strong enough.

x2 Also why where there ramps not strong enough ? Surely a Ford dealers ramp should be able to take a 4600kg van ?

It's nothing to do with mk5 or MK7 some people seem to have more money than sense.

Thats a bit harsh :|

After all the cost is 100% Tax deductable, and the VAT is claimable.

Some of us don't want to crawling around under vans, or have better things to do with our time
