He obviously didn't know that much about Ford radios if he had to pull it out for the serial number, just press and hold 1 and 6 together and it comes up

just checked the sierial no and its M172844 not the above can someone work there magic cheers

Does it come up as "locked 10"? if so that means the wrong code has been entered 10 times
