With being easy to see in the dark being a priority in my business I have refurbed the faded chevrons on the locker

Aftern not fleuorescent orange like the back but better than faded yellow :)

Also added some red hi viz to the sides

I have bought a Premier Hazard programmable wig wag unit to go on the front, just looking for some suitable lamps to connect to it :D

I have been through my paints stocks in the garage, came up with 3 tins of wheel silver :) enough to do all the wheels and the spec arm :D

I have also sorted the not working dash and rewired the not working heater (melted loom plug) :D

I finally found some lamps to go with my Code 3 flasher unit :D

Image

They are Danish daytime running lamps apparently, I fitted them with H/D 382 bulbs and they are pretty bright even in daytime. There are 17 different flash patterns which alternate between the top and bottom pairs :)

.....do you do parties?.....I'm sure a mobile lighting rig like that would be welcome at a Rave

Well its taken a while but I have been looking at Jakes front end, I have come to the conclusion that plastic not so fantastic :) I got a bullbar off the 'bay, dont know what it was off but it was cheep  Took a while to fit as it has to fold outward to allow the bonnet to open  Next on the list, a bumper that has many features :) First, its deep enuff to allow the bullbar to move forward. Second , the large spaces at the outer ends will contain water tanks that I can fill and drain as required to get the necessary weight when towing. Third, I can stand on it to reach the bloody windscreen

Bolts to original MK3 bumper mounting holes :)

Its big :o

Deffo a "Muttley" truck now :D Got to make panels to cover the top and brackets to hold the water tanks. Gonna do it orange and black chevrons :)

Apparently its a T25 VW bar? I think it will all come together when its painted

Image

I put the top bits on and theres brackets to hold the water tanks to go in from underneath, I may use concrete instead as its easier to fit in there :) I also noticed the bar is bent on the offside, got to straighten it as it makes the whole thing look out of kilter

I finally got a winch for the old boy :D

Image

I fitted a cover over the "new" solenoids" to avoid them corroding :)

Also fitted some "Angel eye" spots I have had for a while and moved the number plate out of the way of the grille

Also treated himt to a Delilah style name badge :)
