Just spoken to a nice lady at Equity Red Star, said fitted petrol engine from old transit. went away for a bit, returned and said "has it affected the horsepower?"

to which i replied "it feels slower than the diesel!"

"ok hold on"

few mins later, returns says "ok i have amended the policy, no extra costs, no admin fee, new docs in post!"

CANT SAY FAIRER THAN THAT CAN YOU????

Right then lads,

The lez is now in 'full swing' so hopefully you are all 'compliant'

For any of you that have 'missed the boat' or contemplating purchasing older vans, we still have quite a few parts left in stock, engine adapter plates, flywheels, engine mounts etc, plus a few engines, all 205's and associated parts.

For those of you that didn't go for the pinto, worried about performance limitations perhaps, we have finally started working on the Essex 'kits'.
These will include an adapter plate enabling you to use the mt75 box, engine mountings and a power steering pump bracket so as to utilize the standard 2.5di pump as we did for the pinto conversions.
The engine adapter plate is in 'mock-up' stage and should be going over for scan/laser next week, once we have the first one back I will get a picture up so get ready to 'dribble'
The engine adapter may also be of interest to any of you running a V4 as it should allow the mt75 to be fitted, giving you a cheap 5th gear :D

In readiness for the next round of lez restrictions, we will be looking at engine conversions for the Mk6, 2.0 zetec and 2.5 duratec seem likely candidates for these as post 2002 models will need a cat and therefore fuel injection.
