Hi Matt , i deisconected the battery for a minute or so then reconected AND NOW .........i cant use the radio lol!! , other than that all is as was , i hate my fuggin van now  .

Mind you i think i have sussed out the flashing green bottle on the dash,i think if it flashes slowly it means the gas is in the process of either coming on or going off , and if it flashes fast, i think it must mean your running out of gas,a warning to get to a gas station and fill up , which leads me to thinking maybe my problem is fuel starvation, so i will have to get under a locate these filters.

I think the slow flashing is when it is switching over and the fast flashing is where it's registering an error. I've had mine flash fast when I was doing about 85mph and it just switched back to petrol. I know that because mine runs ok on petrol and crap on gas. When mines running on petrol and I switch to gas you can hear a click coming from tank then it takes about 20 seconds to switch over. If switching from gas to petrol as soon as you press the button it switches to petrol immediately, the bottle flashes for ten secs but it switches immediately. Were get to the bottom of this soon.

Also I'm sure someone said they would be able to sort you out a code for your radio if you haven't got it mate on here.

Hth

I can confirm that even though the light is flasing it is NOT going over to petrol, i have just driven 80 miles with the green bottle flasing at me and the fuel gage showing empty ,during this time the green bottle stopped flashing sometimes and everything went as it should, and when i got to where i was going the Petrol gauge was exactly where it was when we left 80 miles previously, so what the heck is going on , i will add that when the bottle is flashing the motor will not idle .

[ remove the connector to the dfco solenoid on the side of the distributor. This solenoid switches gas on and off for over run and deceleration. Its a fuel saving device and saves on emissions. As for your van you need to sort out the mis fire on petrol because rnisfiring on gas just amplifires the misfire problem.

WOULD THIS DFCO SOLENOID BE MY PROBLEM , My gas cuts over or goes flashing when im slowing down on the dual carrageway to pull off or stop..

I can't help with your problem rob and I've read every necam post on that forum and I've asked kver my question on that forum and he says I've got to take the distributor apart and clean the v grooves out so im waiting for autogas2000 to ring me when the overhaul kit is in stock so everythings waiting on that now.

I bought an elm327 scan tool off eBay and that's gone straight in the bin. No instructions came with it. Missing files and nearly messed up my laptop wouldn't recognise USB ports ffs. On top of that I've just bought a new parrot LCD head as mine was missing. That don't work either. Think my van is cursed.

Rant over lol. I'll keep chipping away till I get there in the end unless someone happens to torch it lol

You certainly seem tohave it worse than me , at least mine will play ball, it just fecks abouts is all, i dont know about you but sometims i think i should have spent another £1000 and bbought a better van, but to be fair this has only done 59.000 miles, so i didnt expect to get messed about.

My astra van is brilliant , ive owned it 6 years its never failed me and it turns 50 mpg , but i cant get a motorcycle in the back of it lol!.

SLOG ON , WHERE NOT THE ONLY ONES CHAINED TO THE OARS !

Pretty sure that you will have the Necam Koltec system as a Factory fit. There was one of the guys on here that bought a new RPM filter and it didn`t cure the problem so he was moving it on cheap.I expect he`ll be along soon but I think it might have been crossfirerob.

I know you asked about servicing recently, and given your location (not far from me in SE24..?) it might be good if you could get hold of Ken (Motorwise) as he's very knowledgeable about these and own's a garage. I could never pin down a time to go and see him, but he used to be on here a lot, and sent me lots of LPG notes, which i passed onto Alec.

I use http://www.graystrucks.co.uk/ myself now, but let us know if it works out.
