Land Rover PCD vs Transit 5 stud PCD....

Postby IgorVigor » Tue Mar 27, 2012 2:27 pm

Right, I am posting this up to try and help other people....

I'm sorry if someone has already posted it, but I haven't seen it.....

So here is a picture of a Land Rover Wheel with a 5x165 PCD fitted to a Transit with the 5x160 PCD...

Image

As you can see, the Transit studs DO NOT centre in the LR stud holes due to the different PCD

And the wheel studs themselves are also considerably smaller

Here is a close up of the stud and the gap around it.....

Image

(for a rough reference the transit wheel studs use a 19mm socket, so you can see how big the LR wheel studs are)

I hope this is of some interest, and might even help people ACTUALLY see the difference......

Perhaps make it a sticky, or move it too the "Useful Infomation" section?

Good pictures - for reference landrovers use a 16mm stud with a 27mm headed nut.

What you haven't said is that the LR wheels are not safe to use because of the PCD difference ;)

Them there wheels look truely magnificent but i think i would have went the extra and used countersunk headed bolts fitted from inside wheel with another set of chrome nuts to fill leftover holes call me a fussy tw@t but i think it would look pretty damn good ???

PS dont forget to tell the tyre fitter !!! lol
