unknown fault codes

van stoped on road checked the usual visable and mechanical .Had to check with FCR found multiple fault codes repaired broken wires behind starter motor where they rub on rear of starter,Now i am left with 3 faults (fuel pump timming control Cct malfunction) & 2 which read (unknown 5721 & 5733) This is a transit 85/260 . 06 reg 2.0l duratorqu TD di .I have used Ask a ford mechanic but so far i have not recived any answer .

You'll need to try another machine on it that will give you the p codes.

Hi dan . I have had 3 other scan tools connected + this is the only fcr that makes any communication with the ecu ,but it has to be set to ford OBD ,If iset it to OBD/OBD2/EOBD it says the same as the others (no communication with ecu) I'l need to get an engine managment wireing diagram & check the Cct

Have checked all fuses acouple of times ,but i am going to check them again

Have'nt found what the odd fault codes ment, however ,found 1 broken wire & 2 bare wires in loom going to fuel pump ,& a disconected terminal in fuse box ,repaired them ,van now runs & codes have vanished..
