Had them done a fella called James in Slough, can't find his number off hand, but transitjono knows him.
As you know I only had the tyres fitted on the Saturday morning, but one of them is leaking on a weld... Only needs a dab of weld, but it will burn the fresh paint  Im going to get Nick to paint them this time anyway

theyve been banded in the wrong place (again). look at a standard cortina wheel and then look at a lotus cortina wheel, they dont look like this why when there banded do they do it at the part of the rim up near the hub, they should be done from the outside of the valve, and if people think because it makes the valve stick in otherwise, load of crap. any offset rim made by the manufacturer doesnt have a step there made on the outside of the rim.

Years ago when Banded Wheels "Were In" they could be banded on either edge.

Banding on the outer edge made it nearly impossible to seal a Tubeless tyre.

Wheels banded on the inner edge sealed easier and used less steel.

The "Mountney Bros" had a workshop next to mine ....

One brother made the steering Wheels and...

The other Banded the wheels

I used to help and we sold them to Deals on Wheels in Romford :D

there not theve also been banded in the wrong place when i said look at a cortina wheel i didnt mean ones that had been banded i meant standard production rims a basic wheel and lotus wheel, theyve got a step in them doesnt look rite, the rim should be on one level, not stepped, also the way those wheels have been done they have welded the outer join both sides, but on the weld nearest the center of the rim you can only weld it one side! if they had banded the on the outer part of the rim it could be welded both sides so stronger and look correct, i think there is two transit a blue one and a orange one, the wheel on the blue van look correct, but on the orange van wrong.

From what I understand, its to do with strength in corners, but I agree they do look good.
Finally manage to get mine on last Saturday, but even then one a slow leak on a weld, but I had that repared today.
