buying a 2nd hand transit

Hi, I know very little about van's and their models but I need a bigger van for work. I'm a plumber so hold alot of tools and fittings. Also tow a tonne in weight now and again. Ideally I'm looking at something thats swb and either low or med roof and around 2004/2005 depending on costs etc.

Is there somewhere on here or elsewhere I can read the specifics for each model, like what is the difference between a T260 T280 330 etc. is it the engines? which ones should I avoid for towing etc. any help would be appreciated
