Need to see if these work, will ideally connect to interior light circuit and install above each shelf

All thats left is to install some more ply to stop stuff rolling off the shelves and on the right hand side and on the front of the subwoofer enclosure. We ran out and its beer o'clock now so will have to wait until monday!

Thanks guys, wish I could take credit for the cutting in but it was down to my mate who has a lot of patience and a lot of OCD!!
Hopefully the LED works, its a 12v strip but I've only ever run these in domestic properties off a constant voltage driver. The van voltage may fluctuate too much and pop them, I'm getting the soldering iron out tomorrow so we'll find out :)

EDIT/ going to run them through a voltage regulator, will update with pics when I'm done.

I had some time spare today so I dusted off my soldering iron and went to work...

I made up the 12v regulators, tested them against the supply of 12.8v and the output was 12v. Turned engine on and input was around 14v but the output was 12.5v so all seemed well.
However once the LED load was connected, the output dropped to below 1v so I presume the load exceeded the rating of these regulators and it shut off the power.
I ended up ditching the regulators and connected direct to existing wiring. They run fine at up to 14v luckily.

This is what they look like from underneath:

And this is the outcome, well lit shelving - I'm very happy with it.

Now I need to wire up those amps and finish the ply so everything stays on the shelves!

That looks good, so you just wired them into the interior light harness?

Yes mate, removed the centre light and pulled the wiring out, they come on when you open the door as normal. :)

How many strips of those LEDs do you think could be run from that harness? And do you have link for where you got them from please

The spec of this particular strip is 4.8W/mtr @ 12v.
I removed the original centre light which freed up about 20W I believe.
Technically you should be able to run about 4 meters of it without exceeding the original lamps.
Not sure where it came from, was an "off cut" from site ;)
