cheers - now taxed too 8) 8)

i was driving it and was having a play with the gears - it always seemed slow to set off in drive (hence north weald) - i tried it manually selecting 1st and seemed to be loads faster 8) - ive been doing a bit of research and i'm pritty sure its something to do with the electronics/wiring :|

It might be a feature (like some other boxes) that it pulls away in 2nd, unless kickdown is engaged or manually selecting 1st

Ford Transit 120 TDI EPIC Automatic. 0-60 in a leisurely and smooth 12.7 seconds and 1/4 mile in 19.1 seconds. Now where's all these faster? manual Di s?

wired up the kick down and i think andy is right :!: i reckon at north weald i was setting off in 2nd  it does seem a fair bit faster now 8) hopefully i can get it on the 0-60 sprint at ford fair for a proper test

i had to mount a new switch for the kickdown as the toyota one wouldnt fit the transit pedal but i ran out of gas - so the mount is tacked on temperarly :| (hence no photos  )

i really want the rev counter working now and also need to sort the bypass on the turbo vents directly out with no silencer - its way too loud

update :!: still not right  pritty sure the problem is wiring related re. the autobox - i think its the 'lock up solenoid' you can be travelling at 50mph boot it the box kicks down the engine revs up but there's little increase in speed :?

can't wait to get this sorted
