Howdy all..

Here she is , I will be doing a fair bit to her over the coming months .. and ill most likely be looking for help and advice but this is her as is ...

just clocked 37k, she has a few small niggles i need to attend to , but only because i want her 100%, then its on to the good stuff of modding.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10938896/20120817_135029.jpg

plans so far

exterior :
remap
white wheels
white st style stripes on doors
colour code bumpers / skirts and mirrors
wind deflectors
white roof wing
rear door stripes
chrome handles
chrome rear door step
stainless sise bars
daytime driving lights

possibly lower her.. but not if it makes the ride alot harder

interior:
full carpet throught
sound proof entire cab
flock dash & door cards
upgrade sound system for a double din
rear view parking camera

but..

thats quite a list ... lol ... so it will be bit by bit ... but thats kind of where i would like to end up with her

Rather than lower, go higher profile on rear tyres to take up the gap :)

@ g-man , I hear what your sayin .. im not goin for the full on " bling " look just kind of inkeeping with the stripes and the ST style

@ darkbluevanman -- has anyone here done that, that you know of .. and any reference pics ... I have modded & lowered a car before and regretted it every day after, don't really want the same on my van.. but do love the lowered look.

although this was a few years ago , this is my old 323 before and after pics.. wouldnt mind going for a similar scheme on the van ...reckon it'd look cool.

A few small mods completed , having to wait for my monthly wage to come after buying her to do anything really major , or buy anything substantial , but here are some pics of what I have done so far.

Been using her all week to get to work ..so excuse the dirt... lol

Stainless Sill Protectors

Wind Deflectors

ST Dust caps

Removed rear door badges

next on the list will be white rear door stripes , and hopefully powder coated wheels..

this is a crude pic of what I am aiming for with the final result..

Hi all

I Have been pretty busy lately .. being the first weekend I have had time to really spend on my van since i bought her I thought i'd set to work. I have been buying things bit by bit and biding my time until I had a good few days to get going. I Bagged a fiesta ST interior from ebay for £450 which I was pretty chuffed with considering the quality of the hide ( pretty much perfect ), and ill look at selling off the rest of the interior aswell as the sportvan seats to help recoup a little of the money, this was an opportunity i did not want to miss .. these seats are just awsome ... to sit in .. and look at.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10938896/SPORT ... 135042.jpg

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10938896/SPORT ... 135055.jpg

As I dont really have the tools to be fabricating anchor points for these seats I have a mate's friend going to fit them for me next saturday , so hopefully I'll have the fitted and installed pictures to show then. hopefully I can get a sparky to hook up the heated panels in them for me before winter sets in.

Also,

I have started the " DYNOMATT " / " PHATMATT " installation ... Vans always have a tendency to be " echo-ee " and loud due to the lack of interior and sound proofing .. so I decided im going to fix this once and for all by linning the entire inside of the van with phatmatt. A little excessive and expensive .. but i think in the long run a nice quiet ride will be worth it, especially on those long journey's.

I have stripped the interior ready for the seats & sound deadening to go in, once thats gone in, I will start re-linning the rear load section with ply wood .. and also further sound proofing with foam.

I also have enough OEM black manufacturer'rs car carpet to re-line the entire car with.

I wanted to try and get some of the exterior done aswell before winter really set in, but looks like its going to have to wait until next year now .. oh well cant have it all...

I bought some rattlematt on ebay to insulate the doors of my van.. I got some in got bored and gave up; however I have been looking for some flashing tape this evening for an upcoming job and it is exactly the same stuff at a fraction of the price!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLASHING-TAPE ... 336fb3f182

The cheapest per square meter is the 100mm width rolls. So 10 square meters is £60.50 including next day delivery.. Worth a look considering 9.2m2 of FatMat Extreme is £243!
These are all prices I've pulled from ebay so you guys may be able to find everything here cheaper elsewhere
