lowering question

hi all, is there a way of lowering the back end without doing an axle flip, like different leaf springs, or having them de-cambered, just not sure i want it so low if i have it done.

If you do a search you will find info about having the springs reprofiled. It has been talked about on here before cos I read about it when I was looking into lowering.

In all seriousness, flipped axle with the adjustable hangers is best of both worlds. Almost normal height for day to day, and slammed within 15mins when ever you want....

You can have the rear leaf springs reprofilled as already said by Dub-77 or if you want the axle flip as then you can play with ride heights yourself.
If you want axle flip speak to 'ModYourTransit' who do a really good kit and it makes sure your wheels sit completely dead centre in the arches.
Its all preference but mine is the axle flip.

Got to be honest, haven't informed the insurance yet.
Not got round to it yet.

ive never notified insurance companys when ive lowered my previous cars ... bad really

I could understand if it was just chucking four springs on, but a mod that involves a new axle that as been reworked....Oooo bad

Reprofile the springs mate safest and at a great price

I looked into reprofiling my rear springs but found a number of problems.

1 was cost. New springs done was £85.00 each plus vat and postage
And that's for single leaf must vans are double leaf.

Reprofile your old springs was around £45.00 each plus vat plus postage both ways
Turn around time was a week so if you use your van you to buy a set of replacement springs.
And again that price for single leaf.

Second thing was it only lowers an inch
So the whole thing was pointless when you can buy a adjustable height rear kit for £250
