The unit is now in Germany fedex-delivery, but the company has sent the adapter with normal post...

"Dear customer,
The order has been shipped out, but sent by normal post, so the shipping time is about two weeks"

So I can stare at it for about two weeks before the adapter gets here.. Exelent!
I will wait until I have tried the player, but right now I would not recommend this company. Ordering something is complicated since they seldon reply, and when they reply they answer 1/3 of your question.

New switched live ? may I ask where is was connected to, at the stereo end ?

im not sure we are talking about the same thing.

when i removed my 6006 cdc ford unit and replaced it with a cheap 7" double din touch screen it wouldnt switch on and i was using a iso lead.
this was down to the ign / switch live on a connect.
but when i replaced it for my sony touch screen i didnt have this problem and worked.

the new switched live came from the fuse box and was connected to the switched live on the iso lead (red)

I have just one 12" sub and uprated 5" door speakers and it sounds ok, probably good enough for most people but in my opinion the door speakers just aren't up for the task! In my setup at least, there's a serious lack of mid bass.
One 12" sub is ample, uprated 5" doors are great for the high stuff, but next on my list is 6x9's to fill the void.
Basically don't relie on just those door speakers and a load of bass!

I'm not counting on any bass from the door speakers, I'm just throwing in some subwoofers I have :)

But crazy Norwegian rules say that I cannot move the rear wall of the van. To be registered as a van i has to fit a "box" 1,4 long, 1,1 meter tall and 0,9 meter wide. (My length exacly) The fine for violating this law is about the value of the car..

Image

This man got a 19.000£ fine for "illigaly converting" his brand new Mitsubishi Outlander van to a "regular" 5-seater. The reason that the wall was under 5 cm further back is that his electric seats pushed the wall. (Ongoing trail with Mitsubishi)
If he pays the fine and wants to put in rear seat, he will have to pay 19.000£ again...

So if I mount speakers in my rear wall and the correct jerk pulls me over, he will measure from the speaker magnet or speaker box and I will be fined for the same reason. But this doesn't count for a "not mounted" subwoofer box :)

what is the model number of your replacement unit (stereo) ? As I may be able to locate a proper wiring diagram.

It's a ES960F :) I connected KEY1 to the remote for the amplifier (that is not installed yet)

Works good enough, installing was quite easy, the worst was to get the player in place, there are too many wires in the back of the player.

It also has to come out again soon, the antenna cable wasn't the same, I need an adapter, but I know where to buy it :)
