Hi All,
Yep, we're back on the road again, and back blogging.
I'll put the details on the Expedition Portal, it looks a cool site, and I guess we are on a bit of an expedition....
I saw your solar fan post previously, and like the idea, no energy use and good constant ventilation...definitely will fit some of these.

My brother in law got them here and sent me them, i put a pair on the shed too!
I think there are dealers in europe for them and you will be able to walk in and buy on your travels, beuty of this type is they are surface mounting with nothing underneath and ultra lightweight.

For the kitchen/cooker vent i used two small computer fans which i mounted on a piece of clear sheet that slots in the sliding window and fitted a small plug on a lead and a small socket and switch, i can just put it in the window frame and lock it in place with the slider ie. put it on or take it off in a moment, plug it in and switch on/off, i tend to leave it up and have it on when cooking/driving etc. only uses 0.4A, works great, i'll put a pic up later.

Might do the solar fans thing while here in Poland, where there's the equipment.

BTW a £20-£25 5w-10w solar panel directly connected would run those two computer fans all day long no problem the fans were £9.99 for the pair at Maplins and you could plug them in at night if you wanted.

A caravan type mushroom roof vent is @£7 and you could easily mount a fan in one of those too, the ultra-fab's are the easiest mounting though esp. if you have a single skin roof.
