Pulsating Effect

Hi To All - My Transit Connect T220 (90) Trend on a 10 Plate suffers from a PULSATING EFFECT when driven at a constant speed (say 50mph) noticable on smooth roads , you get this POWER ON - POWER OFF effect , like a cruise control or such like .

I spoke to its previous owner who also noticed this problem but never bothered to get the FORD DEALER to fix it .His New Connect runs smoothly , so its just MY van ????

The mileage is now 25k , and this problem is annoying , but not a major issue .

The Connect is booked in at the DEALER on Wednesday where they will check air Filter and Fuel Filter , but i think its more of an electrical issue , Like a bad sensor , or fly by wire fault .

Can anyone guide me on this , to help the Ford Dealer find this fault and cure it .

I dont think the Ford dealer will need help finding the fault, they have go some very good equipment and they know how to use it they will find the problem in no time

OK - the Connect was in at the FORD Dealer all day - Numerous tests and readouts taken .

They can not find the fault , and there fore have not done anything to the engine at all .

Back to square One !

Tell them to do a road test on it and look at the live data on there scan tool or get a scope on it to see whats going on where

Been nearly a week and no Pulsating .

Then , Today - It's Back again !

Bloody Hell .
