Hi mate, glad you got an engine sorted.
Unfortunately, wherever the fan is situated on the Essex, either on the crank pulley or the engine front case, it will not end up 'in front' of the radiator, so the only option is the electric route.

I can easily build you a set of electrics like I did for Robbie's van, you just need a fan housing assembly from a 1.9 diesel LDV pilot welded into the bonnet slam panel and a little bit of wiring.

Be good to get the old van 'Essex-ed up', 8)

hi i have nearly finished my v6 conversion apart from exhaust. the viscous fan lines up ok with my rad. maybe because i have used the early type engine mounts. the ones that are at a 45 degree angle. so the engine may sit a bit lower. i have also fitted a kenlow on the other side of rad. between grill and rad.

Hi mate, just had a busy weekend!

So, you have the engine, do you need a list of parts required specific for your installation?

I am down on the south coast Thursday evening so I could pop in to see you and look at the engine on Friday this week mate.

I am going to be speaking with Robbie this evening about getting the 'sample' up to you, I know there are a number of purchasers of kits that will be wanting these.

just read this thread all the way through
absolutly exelent work
spoke to robbie at transitmania and have decided to go this route rather than the rover v8
mainly because the ease of fitting and not having to chop bulkhead
(might sound strange after all the fabrication on my van)
but i do like the essex v6
so i,m gonna start the engine rebuild and fitting after xmas (mrs rules not mine lol )
so im gonna need a kit please pm me with price cheers
once again was very impressed with robbies van well done
if its got tits or wheels its always gonna end in trouble !!!
anyone can restore a van but it takes a real man to chop it up !!!
