'Supergrass'

Look out for this on BBC2 later this year, set in 1972, starring Geoff's and sheppd's vans, and Ken's V6 from the tansitvanclub, and somebody's Mk2 ambulance, obviously driven there in the Tardis by Dr Who

Getaway van!

Look closely and you will see how the art dept cunningly obscured the '40 years of transit' sticker on the back window with muck.....

Despite the Art Dept's best efforts, they still thought Geoff's stunner looked too SHINY!

Day three, the last day. Dave's van had a bit of an overheating tantrum on the way, but not half as bad as the panick to come. For some unknown reason the director thought he had booked Geoff's as well as Dave's, but it wasn't on the vehicle list on the call sheet that I had had since wednesday. After a panicked phone call to Geoff (thanks again Geoff, BTW for letting me have her) we had to fetch the van two hours before the call time. The good news is I got to drive the beastie :D , the bad news is he had washed her, and so, enter art dept........

Had to hide the 40th sticker again!

The gang arrive, ready to pile into the first gateway van (no idea why this is so small)

Returning in that filthry SWB with the loot, back into the getaway cars

With the unmarked police car, for the interior shots

Well I did ask you if it was OK, and I also have to tell you that the first bit they chucked (luckily at the bumper) had grit in it. So I stood over em till they took out the hard bits with thier fingertips before it went near your van. This is the sort of thing that some people on set don't think about when they are trying to achieve the effect. That's right up there with the car owners (Ford Cortina owner's club, and private people with a triumph and a Hillman) not being covered by the production company's insurance cos they were not even asked for registration numbers. Our booking form clearly states they prod. co takes full resposibility whilst the vehicles are on set, including pebble dashing the paint!!!

Pulls like a train, very steady on the raod but I am not used to the power steering, so had to really concentrate, but I could get used to that  ! Till is decided to have a tantrum. And I was photgraphed by somebody in a Mk4 on the way over!! Believe it or not, I am now sure I don't want a sliding door!

I think it might be the payment for using Geoff's van.

Don't be so silly, we split that up between us.

Seriously, when you see the programme, it was silver bullion that was stiolen, so I helped them spray it silver!!!
