Every week the build date would go back and even once it was built the delivery date would change on a weekly basis.. We had the same problem with a van we ordered in 2011 took ages as well..

Think it was mainly because it was a factory order got quite a few strange extras like auxiliary switches and single passenger seat..

Yeah that's the factory towbar, the reversing camera is sh+te for hitching up a trailer but good for parking...

The Mic seams ok no complaints from anyone I've spoke to..

Only problems so far is nowhere to keep a pen or fuel/bank card, just take some getting used to..

Bankcard: look under the compartmentcover above the speedometer.
Pen. There is a penholder in the glovecompartment.

Uptil now i always had the impression that the new vans were smaller but when you look at the rear side by side it actually looks the other way round.

I agree, even the Sport van is very unstriking.

I think the 'Jap look' comes from the 16" wheels, which somehow manage to look much smaller on the Custom than they do on the Mk7. The tiny wheels were the main reason I went for the Sport and its 18" rims. Pity really, as I would have liked a LWB.

im goin to get one ,but i park in my car port and my mk 7 just brushes the underside of the roof so if the new custom is higher ill have to let the tyres down to park it :D :D

Half hour with an sds or a breaker and the van will sit lower in your new wheel grooves under your car port
