Independant front suspention conversion pictures

I copy'd them to my hard drive when they were working! I'd say that is a better way of doing it that what i did!!

I tried and tried last night to get the pics to dislay properly, but couldn't get it right . I think that it's something to do with them originally stored as bmp files, but can't work out how it's affecting photobucket.

Luke, could you let us have a bit more detail on coil front suspension please? such as does it fasten on to Mk1 front leaf spring eyes and what your fastening the top of the struts to. ta Jim h.

These pictures are of phils conversion, have a look at this thread for pictures and a bit of info on mine!! (now owned by BobS) and yes bolts strait into the front leafspring hangers!

Im gonna do this again to my mk1 van but im copying phils idea of cutting out the inner arches and welding them in!!

Had me scratching my head for a few seconds there, then it clicked jim in nottingham? my dad brought it back on the roof of the sierra! - Cheers

Jim h, the way we've done the conversion is, hack the chassis rails out and launch 'em, then butcher each 'rail and inner arch as one piece out of a MK3, this was so that the turret was in the right place, stuff 'em in, then fill all the gaps in the floor, inner wings etc with plate. Simple as that. The pic you can see is as far as we've got with it so far, it's welded in enough to hold itself together, but there's still more to do. I think there's two more pics of it in the photobucket thing.
