Fault code p007f

Postby camperman2000 » Tue Mar 08, 2016 10:40 pm

Hi all. Need your help with this fault.
I have a 2002 90bhp 2.4 medium hightop transit converted to a camper. Last year it started to get diesel knock. Replaced the solinoid on the pump reset codes. fault fixed. Then towards the end of the year it lost all power. No revs. Fault code p007f and p0149 reduced fuel etc. Read all the responses on here, that lead me to air temp sensor. Replaced the one on the EGR valve, but not fixed. Tried to locate the first one on the intercooler/airbox, but didn't find. Found the air filter wet through, eureka it cant breath. Replace this fault gone for a few hundred miles. Now the fault is back p007f. Plug in the laptop reset codes, away again. Park it up go back to it, same fault. Now i have looked all over the airbox and intercooler but cannot find this sensor.
Not sure if this other fault i have is connected. He altornator went last month and the speedo bounces when its ticking over. Any help is appreciated Thanks

On the EGR valve - as you mentioned above.

Reckon you want to be checking the wiring if a new Ford one didn't cure the problem.

Hi,

having same fault, can anyone advise where exactly to locate on 2.4 Di (on EGR itself?) and possibly what's part number of this sensor?

Thanks

Thanks, does anybody know what is the approx. resistance of this sensor at around 25-30deg centigrade? I would like to check before ordering new one?

Cheers

To answer last question, got replacement sensor, checked resistance of old and new and both have resistance around 24.8ohm at 26deg. ambient temperature.

New sensor did not cure above discussed fault which is still present (can't be deleted from memory or comes back immediately after deletion).

So back to square one, wiring seam to be intact, is there another sensor to check before or close to air cooler?

Thanks for any input

We now have this code which won’t delete and an intermittent loss of 80% power but no dash warning. It’s as if the turbo looses all boost. P007b code.

Thread was started well over 7 years ago...best you start a new thread with your issue....it will tend to get lost in old threads.
