2.2 TDCi Injector Problems

Evening all,

My van (56 plate 2.2 TDCi) is making a bit of a racket from the top end. Also, there is a good amount of oil all over the top end of the engine, so my layman's diagnosis is that one or more of the injector seals has gone.

I've had a good search around the forum, and as I understand it I need the following:

4 x copper washers (Ford part no. F1745686)
4 x rubber seals (injector to cam cover, Ford part no. ???)
2 x clamp bolts (Ford part no. ???)

and possibly 2 x uprated clamps (Ford part no. ???)

I also believe it would be wise to recut the seats using a generic 17mm cutter available on ebay, with a blob of grease to catch the swarf.

Torque setting, according to Haynes is 7Nm + 180 degrees.

Could you please help me by (a) telling me if I've missed anything and (b) filling in the gaps (??? above) with the part numbers I need to ask my friendly Ford garage for?

You probably don't need the rubber seals, they usually seal fine once the injectors stop allowing blow by
