engine bay layout of air filter/intake

can someone tell me what the difference is between these two images in relation to what I think is the air intake/filter housing why one is on top of the second battery and where it is on the other?

Your pics show the heater intakes. The engine air intake for the banana is situated next to the radiator, the air filter is on the nearside chassis rail. Plenty of pics on here, use the search function.

I’m guessing that one of the vans has air con :idea: but without the rest of the picture we can only guess :roll:

OK, my turn to ask....what is the ribbed article in the upper n/s area of the engine bay? Air con? Very clean engine bay!
