This piccy was taken in the summer, after i had carefully strored her for about 3 years :lol: Work has progressed since then (welding :( arrgh!) Shes in a pritty sorry state but definately worth saving :) but theres a long way to go :lol: Image

luke i didnt know it was looking like that :shock: it reminds me off the trip to the farm with all the mk1,,,s the only difrence is i can see yours! :lol:

If you want to get rid of the green stuff off the paint, if you haven't already, good oldfashioned bleach works well on white paint. I bought a body for one of ours off an LT that had been stood in a field for 5 years. Too ashamed to drive home with it as is, I used 2 bottles of Netto kitchen cleaner with bleach on it, came up a treat! I wouldn't use it on coloured paint though.

Another picture of the pickup ive removed that di since and put a better one in!! and painted all the engine bay!!!!
I feel im doing my bit, with this one, ive been tempted to scrap it a few times!!! :lol: But she's here to stay!!! :D

Was that a Di with a Lucas pump then? What you got now, a Bosch? The main problem is, the later thay get, the more outputs Ford produced. It's a minefield!

Yeah its a CAV ive never had one with a bosch pump all mine have been the lucas, and ive had loads of hassle with the damn things, its almost like no 2 identical pumps are the same :?

That is usual with the Bosch, but not normally the Lucas. Have you tried changing the injectors?

Hi you should try putting a duratorq 2.4 from a millenium Trany in your mk1! its fun believe me.

well you you have to go forward or you get left behind!! much better fuel economy and cleaner emisions with these microchips!

Nah, not for me..... Well if I wanted to go forward I would've gone out and bought a Mk3 years ago, then the Mk4 ect (don't get me on the Mks thing again!). I don't think it's being left behind either, after all you have got a Mk1, all be it a Mk4 under the skin!
