Daisy the MkI camper - going for her respray

As I am a complete numpty when it comes to computers my efforts at putting photos on may not work, but here goes













Daisy is now going to be purple and silver. She is different shades of purple inside. Hopefully I will be picking her up in May. Will post more photos when I get them

A friend of mine who sprays bikes is fitting her in between jobs. He is patching up the body work and deseaming the roof/body join as well as spraying. I just said that I wanted her back for the end of May when I am planning on using her for a weekend. He is quite a perfectionist so I am expecting her to look rather nice

If he is gona de-seam her make sure he knows to get the best flexible bumper filler there is cos that roof will flex quite a bit..( he probably does already know but just thought i'd say)

That's a really unusual roof line, she must be one of the last of the Mk1s. Purple and silver is a great choice for a late 70s van. I look forward to seeing her finished.

Hoping to go a visit her next week, if I do I will get some more pictures. Really looking forward to getting her back. Have to sew new cushion covers and curtains before May and get a new piece of wood to make the double bed up as the table that she has at the moment doesnt fit the gap

Woohooo, picked up Daisy on Wednesday evening and took her to a rally over the weekend. Havent managed to get the cushion covers/curtains done yet but I am pleased with the paintjob considering that she was previously hand painted.

I will take some piccies asap and get them on here. She is most definately purple!
