but at the end of the day my transit is a quick van ,its not a raceing car its a van
but it pulls like train and this is what andrew-v4 was saying it took along time for him to catch me!
i am shure from past coments from owners of the rs20004x4 these were a slow car with about 150bhp and a engine that wasnt very tuneable, and heaps of problems with the gearbox or transferbox! a rover with with 200bhp turbo up its chuffer should eat it for dust!

  No I don't execept I'm wrong

Its time to put things to the test then :P

All you fast transits out there come down to Santa Pod in April 08 for the Rs owners club central day and run em down the strip against rs cars eg RS2000's,RS Turbo's etc I go every year so unless your transit's running 16sec for the 1/4 your gona struggle :(

I have a trade stand there every year with a very reputable RS Tuner that tunes and deals with Fast Ford Magazines own cars let alone the other Rs Turbos cosworth's etc that he builds.

So its time to Put Up or Shut up

I'll be there running in my 2.3 rs2000 so I hope to see you Boys there :P

This is'nt a bitch fest its just a simple invite to fast transit boys

As as for the comment about being towed back from the pod my RS2000's go every year and have never broke once  touch wood

See ya there 8)

hmmm you seem to be missing the point here
i'll race you my van vs your car - but the catch is we both have a ton of bricks in the back  if not i'll use my bike - so you'll need to be running 11 sec ¼s to stand a chance  that fair

vans are not as quick as cars no one here is saying they are :!: now it's been pointed out to you that a transit doesn't weigh 3 tons like you thought it did you should have realised they (customs van) is faster than you thought

i dont think there is anyone on here who bought there van to be quick, i didnt i just wanted a 6 seater with a high towing capacity, large load area which i suits my lifestile eg as eariler mentioned mountain biking :D now a car wouldnt do that  i just happened to fit a cosworth engine as custom did which makes it a very fast van - faster than the average car but not faster than your average fast car :D

but i still might turn up

Yes ure right they are reasonably quick cars, I know I have owned 3 of them but they are pretty much untunable as standard blocks, thats why I bought a scubby (which is far more tuned) - and that did scare the shite out of me first few weeks.

I would say however I would have another rs2000 2wd any day, what a beuwtiful car in white they are....
